Former Liberian Football star and Africa icon George weah is now the 24th President elect of the Republic of Liberia.

The former soccer star was inducted into office on January 22, 2018 at well crowded inauguration ceremony held at the state biggest venue the Samuel Kayon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville city Monrovia. 

The colorful event which was grace by several Ex- football stars and world leaders that includes former Nigerian footballers Taribo west and Austin Jayjay okocha as well as Former Sierra Leone international Mohammad kallon four times African best and former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o fils of Cameroon.

Former Senegalese international El-hadji diouf and Ivory coast icon Didier Drogba among others.

Also visiting Liberia in the one day state Event were African Football head Ahmad Ahmad of the Malagasy Football Association.

Nigeria vice president yemi osinbajo San Congolese president Joseph kabire , Burkina faso president Marc Christian kabore Roch, Guinean president Alpha Conte , Ex Nigerian president olesegun obasanjo and Ukrainian prime minister Volodymy Grogsman among others world Leaders.

The must delay event saw former world footballer of the year winner George weah replaced Africa first female head of state her Excellence madam Ellen Johnson Sileaf as the 24th President of the Republic of Liberia.
