SAM Johnson Academy II Clinich First under -15 Cup......

The youthful Soccer squad of the Sam Johnson Foundation on Sunday clinich the first edition of the Sam Johnson Foundation under -15 Tournament.

The youthful academy side narrowly defeated Gardnersville outfit KAKA FC by a goal to nil thanks to Topscorer Daniel Nyumah early minute strike that separated the two sides.

The teenage Under -15 Cup was the inaugural edition organized by the Sam Johnson Foundation (AFRICA) for home growing talents and brought together Ten (10) youthful participating teams that includes the Sam Johnson Academy 1&2 KAKA FC, Paynesville young stars (PYS) Keitrace PRO , Geneva FC , Eleven bright Professional CT united ,the Grass field Athletic Club feeder side GAC 3 and the Cece united Football Academy.

But it was the Sam Johnson Foundation reserved side Clinich the giant size trophy after defeating KAKA FC by a goal to nil in a highly anticipated and entertaining Match played at the Crowded Blue field on PHP in Central Monrovia.

The three days football showpiece which was witness thousands football lovers and media pundits saw the winner the Pocketing 30,000 Liberian dollars as Cash price plus two set of jerseys while the Second place team received 25,000 LD and one set of jersey and the 3rd place side beg also beg 5,000 LD and a set of Jersey.

Speaking at the Presentation of the Trophy the organizer and CEO of the Sam Johnson Foundation Sam Johnson said the tournament is his own way of identifying with youth of Liberia.

The Wuhan zall forward further noted that since infact he grew up as child playing football his vision is to developed home growing talents through Sports for brighter future tomorrow.

The former Nimba County and Liberia National under -23 Forward added that his dream is to put Liberia back on the soccer map and could love to see lot of Liberian players plying their trade at the highest level of world football.

The former Djurgaden and IK Freij forward further noted that this is just his first step of given back to Liberian what they had given him and is planing more for football development in the Country.

The three day soccer event saw the Sam Johnson Foundation reserved side retaining their trophy while Gardnerville outfit KAKA FC finished as first runner up and Liberia Football Association first division club Keitrace FC academy round up as the 3rd place finish side after CT united fail to honor the fixture. 

Meanwhile the Sam Foundation under -15 Cup Concluded with awards given to the best player ,best goal keeper and the best playing team for a job well done.

Received the most valuable Players award was Daniel Nyumah of the Sam Johnson Academy II who netted in four goals in four matches and also coup the Golden shoe award for the Top goals Scorer of the Tournament while team mate Natus Swen received the award for the best defender.

While goal keeper Layee Mohammad take home the golden gloves for the best goal keeper awards.
