LISCR Ready FOR New League Season!!!!
Ahead of the 2017/2018 Liberia Football Association National League Season LFA double Champion LISCR FC has set their sight on retaining the Country domestic title.
The Shipping boys under the Technical eyes of Gambian Coach Tapha Manneh Capture the 2016/2017 LFA National First division League as well as the Country domestic Cup.
The Gardnerville outfit who paraded lots of new bred of young players including new Comers to the topflight of Liberian football Edward Ledlum and Asiamuh Dahn whose both won the National County Sports meets with Montserrado County was recruit by LISCR FC from LFA 3rd divison Championship sides Swakamo FC and Breweries united respectively as well as Sekou Sheriff who came through the Club feederside Gardnersville FC and the Ghanian Robert Mensah bought from an unnamed Club.
All participated in the LFA Championship last Season as the Club reclaimed it proud by Capturing the topflight of Liberian football a silverware the Club fail to archieved since 2010 when they last won a major Competition in Liberia.
And that was at the time Liberia Football Association Cellcom Sponspored National Premier League.
Speaking in a exclusive telephone interview via local radio talk show the media Consultant of the Club Tkla Wesley Jr said the Club is in full readiness ahead of the new League Season.
Mr.Wesley who is also a member of the Sports writers Association of Liberia(SWAL) narrated like last season the Club fought hard to Clinich the double LFA title through the pedigree of promising young players but this season is different.
The Bushchicken Sports writer was quoted by Liberian players outside we fought very hard to win the double it was a difficult one but we made with lot of these young players.
But this season is going to be a more difficult one with lot of team targeting us as Champions more over we are in three major Competition this season and we are going to put up a strong fight to archieve our goals in these Competitions.
We are much Confident of retaining our Championships this season and no obstacle can come our way we are Champions and is going to fight as Champions we at LISCR stands for only the Stronger.
When quiz by reporters concerning the team preparedness to represent Liberia in the CAF Competition this season Wesley Jr answer we are ready for all such of Competition and to bring proud to Liberia.
LISCR who played 30 games last Season in Liberian football managed to collect 57 points in both Competition a total of 16 wins 14 draws and a single lost and that was in the FA Cup against Semi finalist and Gardnersville rival keitrace FC.
The Gardnerville outfit accommodate 42 points from 22 matches in the LFA National and 17 points from eight matches in the LFA Cup that saw them Clinich both the Liberia Football Association National first division League and the FA Cup.
The Shipping boys under the tutorship of Club President Mustapha Rajii and Gambian Coach Tapha Manneh managed to collect a maximum 10 wins and 12th draws in the LFA National League as we as 5 wins two draws plus a one defeat to round up both Championship.
Meanwhile ahead of the new League Season which kickoff early December the club have added seven new signings to booster their squad for all major Competition this season.
The Shipping boys guarded by Coach Manneh managed recruit the services of last season LFA National League joined top scorer Amadia Kawah from Gardnerville rival Keitrace FC.
Kawah who was promising last term finished as joined top scorer of the LFA National League with 12 goals from 22 matches along with BYC forward Van Dave Harmon in a remarkable season in which the 18 years old netted in 18 goals in all Competition for the Somalia drive outfit.
Among the list of new recruit by the Sky blues outfit is former LFA top scorer Mark paye from Barrack young Controller ( BYC) as well as his former club teammate and National team Colleague dfender Hilton Varney of BYC plus four Gambian who all came from the Gambian Premier League.
Including Gambia internationals Drammeh Bulley and Adama Sabally of Gambian side Real de Banjul who all had capped with the Gambian National team.
As well as Mustapha Njie and Aroma Jabang of futbol club Bombada and real De Banjul respectively at the same time the Club has also released defender Grosso Sloboh and midfielder fallah Sheriff all who where told to find a new Club.
