Sweet- Bitter Victory for Liberia......

The home base National Team of Liberia( the Junior Lonestar) on Sunday defeated the Local National Team of Mauritania or les Mourabitones by a goal to nil in the Second leg Preliminary Rounds of the Kenya 2018 CHAN Nations Cup .

Only eligible for Home growing Players who ply their Soccer trade in their owned Domestic League.

A 45 minutes Strike by LISCR FC Forward Christopher Jackson help seal the win for Liberia but that wasn't Enough for the local Debbah Men to Qualified for the Showpiece set for Nairobi Kenya 2018.

The Junior Lonestar waves goodbye to the Tournament 2-1 on aggregate after Suffering a 2-0 first leg humiliation at home to les Mourabitones of Mauritania on Sunday July, 16, 2017 at the famous and old age Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Central Monrovia .

Thanks to two Solid goals from 19 years old Mauritania forward Mohammed Dellahi yali and Strike Partner  Boubacar Bagili Beyguily in the 35th and 68 minute of the first leg that automatically Qualified the Mauritanian despite a one nil second leg defeat at home.

The Match which was played at the National Stadium in Gaborone Mauritania was the Second meeting between the two African Country with  Coach James Debbah collecting their first win against a side coach by french man Corentin Martin da silva who also have just a win against his Liberian Counterpart.

It can be recalled the last time Liberia Played in the CHAN Qualifier was in 2014 the Road to Rwanda 2016 CHAN Nations Cup when the Local Lonestar bow out to the home base Silly Nationelle of Guinea 4-2 on aggregate thanks to the Guinean first leg 3-1 in Conakry before setting up a 1-1 draw in the Return Fixture at the aging ATS in Monrovia.

Meanwhile the Lonestar will now turn their attention to the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier to be Staged in Yaoundé Cameroon.

Despites a opening Match day one 3-0 defeat away to the Warrior of Zimbabwe in Harare the Lonestar will Search for its first win in order to keep themselve in Contention when they welcome Congo DR in January 2018 in round two of the 2019 AFCON Qualifiers.
